Real Property with Mapping Instructions

Screen 1


  1. After clicking on the "Real Property with Mapping" link on the main "E-Services" page, you will be brought to the searching interface displayed above. On this page you have the option to search either by parcel number, or by name and address. For demonstrational purposes, we will search by name/address.

  2. Type in the the name you wish to search for, and then click the submit button.

  1. You'll be brought to the Real Property search results screen shown above, where you will see a list of matches to your search criteria. You can go directly to the map by clicking the "Show Map" button, but for our demonstration we will get there by first going through the parcel information screen. Click on the second parcel number to go to this screen.

  1. You'll be brought to the "Assessor Ownership, Location, and Tax Information" screen. If you had chosen to search by parcel number, you would have come straight to this screen.

  2. On this screen, you'll see various buttons that you can click on and be taken to the specific information that you are looking for. You also have the option of simply scrolling down the page using the toolbar on the right side of your browser to see the same information.

  3. Go ahead and click on the "map/assess.info." button.

  1. When you click on the "Map/Assess.Info." button, a smaller screen will pop up over screen number 2, and will display both the GIS Mapping and the assessor information simultaneously.

  2. The bottom frame of this window contains assessor's information that is being served in a real-time fashion. This information can be viewed in its entirety by using the scroll bar on the right side of your browser.

  3. If you'll notice, the parcel number that is selected in the mapping frame corresponds to the assessor information that's in the bottom frame. If you click on another parcel number on the map, the bottom frame will automatically update to give you the assessor information for the parcel you just clicked!

  4. To get back to the previous screen, simply close the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window.

Register of Deeds Instructions

Screen 1


  1. After clicking on the "Register of Deeds" link on the main "E-Services" page, you will be brought to the searching interface displayed above. On this page you have the option to search either by book and page number, or by name. For demonstrational purposes, we will search by book and page number.

  2. Type in the book number, "pb2001" and then the page number "54," and click the submit button.

  1. You'll be brought to the "Register of Deeds" search results screen. At the bottom of the page, you will see the information for the book and page you searched on. If you had chosen to search by name, you would have a list here, and would select the specific book and page that you want more information on.

  2. You have the option to click on either book or page, and be taken to an information screen, or to click on the "GO!" button under the "view image" heading and go directly to a scanned image of the plat for that book and page. For our demonstration, we will click on the book and page first.

  1. After clicking on book and page, you will be brought to the screen displayed above. This screen contains the Register of Deeds Plat record, as well as a "View Plat" button, which will take you to the same screen that clicking the "GO!" button would have on the previous screen.

  1. If you click the "View Plat" button (or the green "GO!" button from the search results screen), you will be brought to a screen that looks like this. To view a plat, simply click on one of the arrows, and the plat will load in a pop-up window.

  1. This is the pop-up window that contains an actual scanned image of the plat you have requested. The scrollbar on the right side of your browser will allow you to scroll up and down the page, enabling you to view the entire plat.

  2. To get back to the previous screen, simply close the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window.

Comparable Sales Instructions

Screen 1


  1. After clicking on the "Comparable Sales" link on the main "E-Services" page, you will be brought to the searching interface displayed above. On this page you have the ability to search by a number of options. For demonstrational purposes, we will search by "month/year" and "vacant/improved."

  2. In the drop-down menus for beginning and ending month/year, select "January/2001." Then, under the "Vacant/Improved" drop-down, select "improved." After doing this, click the "submit" button.

  1. You'll be brought to the Comparable Sales search results screen, where you will see a list of matches to your search criteria. You can go directly to the map by clicking the "Show Map" button, but for our demonstration we will get there by first going through the parcel information screen. Click on the first parcel number to go to this screen.

  1. On this screen, you'll see "Assessor Ownership, Location, and Tax Information." You can click on any of these buttons to go directly to the specific information you are looking for, or you can use the scroll bar on the right side of your browser to scroll the entire page.

  2. You will see a button that, when clicked, will diplay a printable version of the information from this page. You will also find options for viewing the deed and/or the plat for this parcel, as well as the Property Card. The last gold button is the same "Map/Assess.Info." button described in the "Real Property with Mapping" instructions. Go ahead and click this button.

  1. A window will pop up over your browser, and will contain the GIS mapping as well as the assessor information simultaneously.

  2. Again, you'll notice that the parcel highlighted in the mapping area of the window will be the same as the assessor information listed in the bottom frame of the window. Clicking a different parcel in the map frame will cause that parcel's assessor information to be loaded in the bottom frame.

  3. Now, click the "View Deed" button.

  1. Next, you will be brought to a screen that looks like this. To view the deed, simply click on the arrow, and the deed will load in a pop-up window.

  1. This is the pop-up window that contains an actual scanned image of the deed you have requested. The toolbar on the right side of your browser will allow you to scroll up and down the page, enabling you to view the entire deed.

  2. There are numerous display options for the deed, so try clicking through the various buttons at the top of the screen to get the display that you prefer.

  3. To get back to the previous screen, simply close the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window.

Property Cards Instructions

  1. After logging in and then clicking on the "Property Cards" link on the main "E-Services" page, you will be brought to the searching interface displayed above. On this page you have the option to search either by parcel number, or by name and address. For demonstrational purposes, we will search by name/address.

  2. Type in the the name you wish to search for, and then click the submit button.

  1. You'll be brought to the Property Card search results screen shown above, where you will see a list of matches to your search criteria. You can go directly to the property card by clicking the "Prop. Card" link, but for our demonstration we will get there by first going through the parcel information screen. Click on the second parcel number to go to this screen.

  1. You'll be brought to the "Assessor Ownership, Location, and Tax Information" screen. If you had chosen to search by parcel number, you would have come straight to this screen. Also, the Property Card screen should have popped up automatically. For now, please minimize this screen by clicking the dash (-) in the upper right corner.

  2. On this screen, you'll see various buttons that you can click on and be taken to the specific information that you are looking for. You also have the option of simply scrolling down the page using the toolbar on the right side of your browser to see the same information.

  3. You can also view the "map/assess.info." (covered in the Real Property with Mapping section of this instruction guide) by clicking that button.

  1. Now, maximize the Property Card window by clicking the appropriate window in your toolbar (it should be near your "start" menu). Here you will see the Property Card for the parcel you have selected in an easy-to-print window.

  2. To get back to the previous screen, simply close the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window.

GIS Instructions

Screen 1


  1. After clicking on the "GIS" link on the main "E-Services" page, you will be brought to the disclaimer message displayed above. This page simply checks your browser to make sure it is compatible with the mapping portion of our product.

  2. If your browser is supported, click the "accept disclaimer and continue" link.

  1. A window will pop up containing the GIS mapping system. On this map you can zoom, edit the layers by checking the boxes on the right, and do a variety of other things by clicking through the different items on the tool bar to the left. Give it a try!

  2. Notice the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Among the many options this set of tools offers you is the ability to zoom in, zoom out, re-center the map, etc.

  3. Now notice the toolbar on the right side of the screen. This area contains the layers for the map. If you want to view all of the churches in a particular area, simply check the churches box, and watch as the map reloads with icons for the churches in place.

  4. To get back to the previous screen, simply close the window by clicking on the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window.
